Free: Personalized Elmo Songs!! (a real update coming soon)

Just wanted to share this with fellow mommies (whose kids are Elmo-obsessed)!

FREE - Personalized Songs Sung by Elmo!
Go here: https://www.justmemusic.com/redeem1/index1.php
Enter code: MYELMO

Find your kid's name... the list is long, so even if your kid has a "unique" name, it might be on there!

You have the option of getting all tracks or just the 3 free tracks.

Of the 3 free tracks... the only real song is the Sesame Street song, the other 2 are like intros/monologues, but they still have Elmo talking and saying your kid's name. Not a bad deal!

20 months tomorrow

New Superman shirt!
Spidey wearing a Superman shirt? Blasphemy!
Only 4 more months until Liam turns 2 (and I turn 30 haha)! Unbelievable!

Just wanted to make a quick post before work since I have a bit of time.

The other night was odd. I was up working in the wee hours of the night (3am), when Joel opened the bedroom door so I could hear what was coming from the monitor. Screaming. "Mama, boo-boo!" over and over. So I may be one of the few moms who is ice cold in this situation as I decided to just let him cry it out. Mind you, the crying didn't seem like it was severe, maybe like a whine-cry. I know what a pain-cry sounds like, and it was not that. So a few minutes passed, and then he started screaming out, "Dada, boo-boo!" since his cries for me didn't work (what a monster I am, right?). Joel, on the other hand was just trying to get some sleep and is less of a cold person than I am, decided to go up there and see what the matter was since he hasn't done anything like this since January. Something might actually be wrong, he thought. I listened in the monitor as he entered Liam's room. Of course he stopped as soon as he saw Joel. Joel picked him up and rocked him for about 30 minutes. It was silent for that entire time. But as soon as he laid him back down, it started again. Joel said goodnight to him and left the room. The crying lasted another 30-45 minutes after that. He was pissed not only because he was left alone again, but also because his Fisher Price music box soother was running low on battery juice and kept shutting off on him. But he FINALLY manged to fall back asleep. Maybe he had a nightmare or something. Last night he slept fine. Darn flukes!

I was just also thinking about how disappointed I am in myself for not keeping up with Liam's baby book. In fact, I have not even STARTED putting it together. I definitely want to make one, seeing as how I love projects that have NOTHING to do with a computer, but I honestly have not had the time. And now to even think about it discourages me because I have THOUSANDS of photos to sort through and decide on which ones I want to use, then print them out and make them look cool. Part of the reason for my baby book neglect is that I have this blog. I try to record all milestones in this blog, so I will also need to re-read all my entries to figure out what he did and when he did, etc. Very time consuming. My goal is to at least start compiling stuff before he turns 2!

In other news, I got myself an early 30th birthday present... a new DSLR!! My old one (Nikon D50) is over 5 years old, still works great, but the new ones have so much more to offer. The new one is the Nikon D7000, which came in a bundle with 2 awesome lenses and a couple more goodies. Too good to pass up! The feeling I had when I opened the box was reminiscent of how I used to feel on Christmas. I haven't felt that way about anything since I was a kid. :D Well... I admit that getting all the baby stuff for Liam  while I was pregnant was kind of a similar feeling, but this one was all for ME!

And speaking of actual birthdays, Joel's 34th is next week, August 10! My folks are going to watch Liam that night so I can take bday boy to dinner and maybe a movie since we don't get to see many at the theater these days. We both have the following day off, so I have to think of some fun family things to do. Hmmm...

Have a great weekend!
